About MeI am currently a Senior Research Scientist at Microsoft (since June 2022), working on Transformers and Large Language Models (LLMs) for Vision, Language, and Speech under Dr. Vijay Agneeswaran. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at KU Leuven with Prof. Luc Van Gool (March 2021 - June 2022), a Postdoctoral Researcher at IIIT Hyderabad with Prof. C. V. Jawahar (Jan 2021 - March 2021), and at Google Research India with Dr. Gaurav Aggarwal (Feb 2020 - Dec 2020). I obtained my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Vinay P. Namboodiri at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (2015-2020), and my M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. V. Rajbabu at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (2009-2012). Previously I have worked at Microsoft, Samsung R&D Institute, Harman and L&T. In my Ph.D., I worked on Visual Question Answering, Visual Question Generation, Paraphrase Generation and Visual Dialog tasks. I was awarded the Best Doctoral Dissertation Award by IUPRAI at ICVGIP 2020. More details in my CV.
